I don’t disagree with you that potential suitors should meet a certain standard. I’m saying that the standard should be set and enforced by the daughters and not by the fathers. That does not mean, however, that fathers cannot offer constructive input or try to influence their children’s (regardless of gender) value systems during their developmental years.
