Thanks for the advice. I actually buy a lot of my eggs from a local farmers’ market. I don’t mind paying small farms what they need to charge ($4.00, $4.50) in order to make their small farms work. I just don’t believe that large commercial facilities who are ONLY earning the cage-free tag (not “organic”, or “non-GMO” or anything else like that) need to charge that same amount for every dozen of their eggs.
